This feeling of depletion, despair and anxiety that hits your professional and personal life at the same time can affect anyone who works hard to provide a good life for themselves and their loved ones. It’s a real thing, and it happens to plenty of us, even if you are a successful forex broker in Germany. Thankfully, there are signs we can take to help prevent it from happening to us. What Is Burnout Syndrome?
Burnout syndrome is a condition that affects individuals who work in jobs that involve a lot of stress and anxiety. It is also known as “work-related burnout.” People who experience burnout syndrome often report having the following symptoms:
Exhaustion – This can be the feeling you have when you really want to call it a day and just want to sleep it off.
Dismissive Behavior – This is when you act as though you don’t care about your work and your colleagues.
Irritability – This is when you’re so ticked off at work that you can’t seem to control your emotions.
What To Do If You’re Burned Out
If you’re feeling like you’re running on fire, the first and most important thing you can do is recognize that you’re burning up. When you feel like you’re “there,” but not quite “enough,” you may try to talk to your manager or HR representative about your feelings. But if you don’t talk to anyone or acknowledge what’s going on to yourself, then you’ll continue to feel terrible and may fall into a cycle of exhaustion and burnout. The best way to combat burnout is to recognize that you’re burning up and then take some time for yourself. Find a hobby that you love, spend some time with your family or get some exercise. Doing something that you love, that you can show your kids and/or spouse that you don’t just do for them, will help you feel productive and engaged.
The Consequences of Burnout

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the amount of work you have and the demands on your time, it may be best to take a medical leave of absence. Or, you can talk to your manager or HR representative about your concerns and ask them to let you have some time off. In some cases, you may be able to negotiate a pay increase or other benefits to cover your time off work. But if you don’t have those resources, you may have to deal with your manager on a pay or benefits dispute.
How to Deal with Burnout
For example, if you are a forex broker in Germany and you’re dealing with burnout, there are a few things you can do to help yourself. The first is to recognize that you’re burning up and take some time for yourself. If you’re also dealing with symptoms of depression, you may want to talk to a professional about how you’re feeling. If you’re dealing with exhaustion, you can also try taking some time for yourself each day and/or rearranging your schedule so that you have less work. If you can make a small change that will help you decompress, you’ll feel so much better.
